It seems like slavery has been around for a thousand of years since the Vikings and the ancient Greeks Slavery was around well before before the ancient Greeks. An important man called William Wilberforce from Hull took 20 years to try and stop slavery in the 1800’s
Lots of people told lies so they could let slavery continue and maintain their wealth. They would put lots of arguments forward to defend the trade; despite this they told lots of lies they even said that their accommodation was luxurious and they never had to walk far for water.
Other examples they used were in the bible, argued that slavery was lawful and religious. Other examples, were that they said that they were well treated and ate good food on the trip as well as playing games.
It was wrong to keep slavery going they used lots of arguments .so they can defend them selves the people who was on the ship got thed up so they
drowned the selves. despite this if they were dyeing the owners would feed them to the sharks.
Slavery is still around ,and now its gone .a important man called William Wilberforce took years to try and stop slavery. millions of people wanted to suffer die because of this
