Victorian punishments
When they are in jail they have to turn the handle and they have to keep turning it round all day they have to turn it round 1050 times. and the police come in and tighten it harder to turn so they have to work harder.
You would get hung for stealing shouting answering back and being rude and you would be up on a chair really high then someone would go behind them and kick the chair so the rope and it would choke you to death.
School punishments
In school if you were bad you would get caned on your knuckles if you were a boy and if you were a girl you would get wacked on your legs.
