Life as a slave

This ship is like hell but worse. In the air there is a  sent of death that is spreading around the vast emptiness. Its like an oven in here because the temperature is so high and the conditions are atrocious . Constantly people moaning and groaning. This is repulsive it’s like a slater house. How do you think I can bear with a scene like this?

The dread of nigh time below the decks is awful. Whines and whimpers every millisecond. The stench is like a skunk. Silence defended me. On this boat days turn into weeks (it feels like months)However night time is the time to be safe-the night stalkers leave me alone.

The ship arrived at an unknown place after many months at sea. Soon we were dragged ashore .Beaming down from the sky was the blinding sunlight that messed with my eyes , all I could see were dancing silhouetted figures in my head. Amazingly my eyesight corrected itself. Stood before me were ‘bags of bones’ that have seen been risen from the death and I was one of them. Weighted down by shackles

I’ve been on this plantation for a few years now. Endless grind on Tobacco. Separated from my family at the sale. Its better being on the ship because you wouldn’t be lying on rough wood planks(I should be grateful for myself). The only time when we get rest is at night. Is this right? I don’t know where we are we have been dragged across the world.

It’s been a struggle tonight on the decks constant beating. Slowly floating of to sleep I heard an African chant with my sensitive ears. Suddenly it brung back memories from a story.

A long time ago I remember a African tale being told by a villager elder in my homeland…..

This story is all about a little determinant boy called Kirikou

Karaba is a very powerful, wicked and very beautiful women. She absolutely despises children. All of the problems were caused by her she’s a mean machine if she was really frustrated she would turn you into a random object. The reason why Karaba is evil is because she had a poisonous thorn put into the centre of her back. Her slaves are robots witch are called fetishes. This deranged mad woman caused so much pain.

Karabas slaves are called fetishes’ like minions. Before being robots they were men that had been turned into objects by the sorceresses’ mental deeds. These old fashioned robots completed every single of her needs and wishes.

Kirikou began his journey to overcome evil. The small brave boy used many camouflaged ways to his path to victory. Kirikou is a fearless warrior in fact he’s a superhero for saving everyone. However he finds a way to unveil the sorceress (by pulling out the poisonous thorn in the centre of her back)

In the end Kirikou and the sorceress kiss which causes them to be a couple and Kirikou to be a man. Finally they got married. Resilience can overcome anything.

The smell of urine around me is rancid it was hell ! The shackles around me felt uncomfortable. I taste the horror coming to me. I feel like I am dying of suffocation.

I disperse night time you can’t see what’s going on not just that pregnant women shackled and bound all night. You would be uncomfortable and squashed. The food was disgusting it was a pile of slop.

When we arrived everybody was skin and bones just like dead people. We had chains around our, necks, legs and hands. I was whipped like a horse. I didn’t know what was happening.

I were sold and separated from my family. It was endless days and our only brake was night time. If we were not up at 6.00 o clock we were beaten. On felids I did coffee plantation we did 11 hours a week. But it’s better than the ship.

I’ve been whipped for no reason every night because I’m drifting off to sleep. When I went to sleep I heard chanting I remember my mum telling me the story of kirikou.

KIRIKOU

I remember a story which was lost in a mist of time which gave me hope. A little boy was born he was could kirikou.

There was an evil temptress called Karaba the sorceress. Karaba steels gold and hope from the village. She wanted everyone to suffer. She ordered her robots to search for village’s gold. If she didn’t get all the gold she will burn the house’s down or turns people to objects.

Fetishes’ are Kaaba’s robots. Karaba makes her robots to search for gold. If they didn’t obey they will get a bomb and set the house on fire.

Kirikou goes on a long journey to help the village. He went in a tunnel under a flower. Kirikou went past a man eating stunk and a huge water hog. Finally he is at the mountain. His grandfather told him about Kaaba. Kirikou climbed the tree and pulled out Kaaba’s poisonous thorn out of her back.

Then he kissed Karaba Kirikou turned to a man. Kirikou took Karaba to the village. Happily ever after.

Opening my eyes to the sight of hundreds of stinking bodies crammed closely together.  I was unable to move my limbs felt heavy and ached after being rapidly wiped every day. I just want to die!

The nigh time was the only time that I felt safe even though through total darkness fall over the ship like a blanket. I heard the waves splashing against the deck and tasted the salt of the breeze on my face. The air was filled with the constant sounds of moans and groan.

When we arrived I couldn’t see anything I’d been inside for so long, I was toally blinded by the brilliant sunshine on deck. Everyone appeared like zombies and skeletons rising form the dead in chains.

My life as a slave

I could taste the blood from the wounded slaves, there were mountains of corpses scattered over this ship. I won’t make it through my life like this. There has to be a mutiny, as people are becoming lunch for sharks.

I’ve been on this ship night and day, I never got any sleep with everyone groaning and screaming people have parasites and disease I miss my family wherever there are.

I woke up and I started to get whipped then I saw something that could have given me a heart attack. Everyone were like zombies! And I was one of the flesh eating monsters, but I realized that we haven’t eaten in days or maybe weeks even months.

Vengeance

I have been in this plantation for half a decade five years of injury and punishment. Separated from my family I’ve seen people being hanged and crows picking eye balls from the corpses. But this is better than the ship except the execution I am so tired I never did so much work in my entire life also the corpses I would rather die than see the owners shout at us.

With all the work I fell asleep and I heard my parents telling me the story of Kirikou.

This story was told for generations and it was a good vs evil battle and it started in my home land

He was a small, heroic African boy whose determination saved the day. He used cunning and disguise to keep himself alive

The evil master in the story was a sorceress called Karaba, she wanted to make every one suffer she turns men into objects and making people think she ate the men and the reason why is because there’s something in her back that made her evil.

The slaves who served the sorceress where called fetishes there just like minions they do what karaba commands.

When kirikou began his adventure he overcomed the evil sorceress and began to save the village from the fetishes and the sorceress he killed a giant monster that was drinking the water although he almost drowned. He dug underground to see his grandfather

Eventually he turned the sorceress good, she kissed him in the lips and he turned into a man and they became a happy couple.

This tale has a moral don’t let evil people get in your way, if they do don’t ever give up to defeat them.

slaves

This smells like a toilet, dead people lying on the floor. The other slaves are getting whipped and battered. I can smell blood and salt from the ocean. I could hear screaming, groaning and the whip smacking against the other people’s back. They took me away from the other people and they they’re the big brown whips out and started whacking me.

When everyone was sleeping they came and poked, kicked us and laughed at us. The air filled with silence as everyone went to sleep. Rats rummaging through dead bodies.

When we arrived skeleton like people stared at me as they pushed me over and whipped me. They laughed as they left us in pain. It was silent and everyone was like leather.

All I ever do is work every single day

I’ve been working all night. When I went to sleep I had a dream, it was a story that an elder told me it was kirikou.

A few years ago when I lived in my homeland the elder told me a story about a boy named kirikou.

There was an evil sorceress named karaba she hates children and men and turns them into moving objects. She stole jewellery from the village women.

The fetishes were like her minions they were her slaves she turned men into fetishes. They obey her with out no question. They set houses on fire if they didn’t bring all there gold.

Kirikou started his mission to destroy all evil. He had to make a clever plan to save the village. He disguised as a bird but he nearly got seen but lucky for him there were a bird near him. He rid over karaba and bit out a poisonous thorn out of her back.

In the end karaba kisses kirikou and he turns into a full grown man. And marries karaba but at first people didn’t realise it was kirikou.

My Slave diary!

karabaA slave’s life

Why am I on this terrible ship? The sight is unbelievable, strange people moaning and groaning all around me. The smell has become unbearable, dead bodies’ rotting everywhere. The heat has become so intolerable; someone take me away from this place! It’s so uncomfortable down here, I feel as if I’m suffocating. It’s so cramped in this room. How will I go on…..?

The night times are lonely but peaceful. All the horrid people will be fast asleep through the dreamless night. However the night stalkers poked and prodded every one every hour although for some reason they left me. Whimpers and screams  often echoed from room to room. How long had I been on this ship? Someone, help.

When the ship finally docked in an unknown place, we stood up for the first time in months. Everyone looked like walking corpses rising from the graves, even the little ones with leather like skin we were so emaciated. The sunlight blinded me. My eyes took a while to adjust in the day

light. Carefully but cautiously, we staggered onto solid ground one by one while our chains rattle. My sight started returning I can see silhouetted figures, bags of bones red infected eyes how awful.

        SOLD…….

I have been at the plantation as a slave for 4 years now separated from my family at the slave sale. Endless toil at the sugar cane fields. It’s better than being on the ship so I suppose I should be grateful, I don’t like it here and I want to go home. The only time I get to rest is at night when its bed time, even then we have to get up early. Why are they torturing us? Well at least there’s three other slaves here.

There have been many beatings, often for the wrong reasons. I start to drift into a long and lonely sleep,  I start to hear African drums banging In my head. Now I remember my mother telling me a story in the village, yes I remember the story of Kiraku a story of inspiration…

Karaba is an evil sorcerous. The reason is she has got a thorn stuck in the centre of her back this turned Karaba evil. She despises women, hates men and dislikes children. karaba Is a beautiful woman even though she’s very evil. She turns men into objects and robot slaves. Karaba always stands straight not showing her back (because of the thorn). This causes her inconsiderable pain.

Karabas slaves were called fetishes. Men turned into robots. They were fearless slaves like loyal dogs. They obeyed without questioning her. The fetishes guarded her day and night.

Kiraku brought himself into the world. He began his adventure when he found out about the evil sorcerous karaba. kiraku wanted to pull the poisoned thorn out of karabas back. After that he asked the nice karaba to kiss him and he turned into a grown up. He told the village about what happened but they didn’t believe him. All the fetishes turned into men again.

Karaba and kiraku eventually got married and lived happily ever after. This story shows determination and courage therefor you must rise against evil.

The Pilgrim

It all happened on Friday morning, my mum asked me to take some- thing to the shed as it was raining, but suddenly I got sucked in to an enormous black hole and I found myself in front of a castle, the sun was shining and the mountain was really tall there was loads of mountains surrounding the huge castle.

I saw a bridge it was all rusty there was a massive wall going all around the ginormous castle, it looked like a deserted island, there were a lot of birds circling in the sky, below there was a village with a bubbling water fall flowing alongside it with stones in the river they have really big trees with leaves falling of them it was a really nice river

The trees look like gold they must be a way out of here I wonder how can I get out of here? There must be a purpose why I am here? I just want to get home, I am really scared.

I slowly began walking up the dusty path, I went in to the castle, nobody was there, I felt all alone I was frightened, I heard a dog barking really loudly. Where was the dog? I heard a bell which was ringing. Where is every one?  I’m all alone.

In front of me I saw a church with two large wooden doors above the doors were two stone gargoyles with wings staring down at me I shuddered and quietly crept in to the church. There was a huge statue with a hood in the middle of the room it was covered in mouldy green moss and there was a circular chandelier hanging above it looking like a halo.  The floor was made of marble and the sun was reflecting through the stain glass windows which really hurt my eyes. It was really quiet nobody was there I thought I could hear music or was in my head?

I lay motionless feeling wretched and weak because we hadn’t been given any food yet we were crammed in below deck like bodies in coffins. The heat was unbearable the stench was horrible, blood and mucus filled the air.

The night came as it always did; it was the only time I looked forward to so I could escape to my dreams. Every   night was filled with moans and groans. The rocking of the ship sent me to sleep.

On arrival after weeks and months at sea . I could not see because of the beaming bight sun blinding me. Suddenly I got choked in to a smelly rotten discoing room.

I have been on this sugar plantation for years now. The days seem endless   and I miss my family every day.

Along time ago I remember sitting around the tried tree with all the elders telling tales, the tale I enjoy the most was a tale called karaoke.

Kaaba was an evil woman who wanted to Couse as much suffering to the villagers as possible. She hated the men and the women, children and a man .she took away water supply and turned the men into solve and stole the women’s gold.

Karabas slaves were men turned into fetishes, They didn’t ever she said no matter what .they just like robots, one of the fetishes watched everything from the top of the mountain.

Kirikuo is like a super hero karakul kissed she and he turned into a man karaba and karakul got married in the end.
