Priory mouse

Squeak..oops I forgot im talking to humbling’s. My names Molly mouse , I’ve been here for so long I’ve forgotten how old I actually am. Anyway the number of events I’ve seen over the past 900 years is unbelievable . There has been many sad and happy moments such as christenings concerts and weddings .

My favourite event was a christening , she was adorable , just so cheesy I could eat her. The dress was very well weird I wouldn’t let my daughter dress like that, our tradition was full fur. 🙂

I hope that in the future we will have a lot more exiting events and happy memories and moments. Also I hope you come and visit me soon but just remember you can’t talk to me it’s a secret (A very cheesy one)AND DON’T FORGET TO CLOSE THE DOOR !!!!!

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CHURCH MOUSE

Close the door I feel like my whiskers are going to freeze off! “Oh” hi my name is Donny; you wouldn’t believe how much I have seen in the past 900 years. I remember when henry the 8th nocked half of the priory down. My whole family live here all 47 of us. There have been some good times and some bad but I love living here anyway. One of the bonuses of living in a priory is that you get an invitation to every wedding, funeral and christening.

My favourite time has to be when the priory’s first organ was built. It was massive and while I was hanging out in my favourite spot these two humlings walked by and they said it is the biggest in the world. It is so lovely to listen to and one night I had a little go myself. WOW it’s much louder up close, absolutely booming!

My worst time in this priory was on my 149th birthday this little boy probably 6 years old called Paul Joyce walked up to me and started poking me with his sharp fingernails. After he was bored of poking me he found a needle on the floor, then he began to rub on me with it, when he had finished he walked away with a guilty grin on his face. I looked he had engraved a ballet dress on me BUT IM A BOY!!!

900 years is a long time and it’s amazing that it is still standing. I’d love the priory to fit in a heater; I’m loosing feeling in my tail.TTFNmouse singing

Charlie the mouse

Church mouse

I’ve had an amazing life in this church you know. I get to see many things which always make my friends and I feel really special just getting to watch all of the amazing events that happen. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you my name my name is Charlie. I really adore my name because it always reminds me of CHEESE!!!!

My favourite time over the past 800 years has got to be the wedding. After weddings people come to look for us, it really puts a smile on my face because not many people notice us.

The things which I don’t like have got to be the human caretakers, spraying their spray in my eyes (because they think I am dusty). Another thing which absolutely annoys me is when little children put there sticky fingers all over my body.

The past nine hundred years have been amazing for my friends and I. We’ve seen hundreds of take place in this wonderful church. I hope in the future people remain the same, and I hope the priory will not be demolished.

Priory Mouse

You know this wind really gets on my tail end (I wish them humlings would shut that door)! Oh, um sorry about that I didn’t see you there I’m Mark the Mouse. I’m not 100% sure but I think it was around the 1500’s when horrid Henry the VIII knocked some of this precious church and the treasured treasury.

My favourite time of year is the midnight mass when we tear open our presents (cheese) whilst the outstanding organ plays. After a while our little mouslings drift away…ZZZZZZZ, oh sorry I fell asleep. My worst time was when the great gale struck (10th February 1871); I thought the church was going to be ripped from the ground!

900 years it’s an extremely long time for a humungous building such as this to stand. My family have had so many memories in this church and I want to have many more. Although the future may bring flashy, new gadgets I hope the priory will stand for many more years.mouse singing

Squeak! Squeak! *Cough* sorry about that. My names Squeakers as you can see. I’ve lived in this church (priory church) since 1113. Through the years its been hard because I’ve had you ‘humlings’ getting on my cheddars by;stomping down the aisle and making puddles of raindrops. They open the door whilst its windy and let breezes come in, once I thought the roof was going to blow off. This takes me back to 1871 when there was a gale, it blew away all my family and all I had left was my cheese.

My favorite times her are normally during midday when girls come in wearing fancy dresses. The first thing I do is mouse race to my room and get my silver patterned suit. Then climb to the roof and watch people getting married. How romantic! Oh, how the dresses have changed over the years. They get prettier and sparklier every day.. On the other hand I hate it when these wooden boxes come through the door and people cry and cry. Then I have to go round  on the night, well actually 2 am with a mop and bucket cleaning the floors.

Finally I would like to discus a few things that I’d like in the future.: Cheese beds put in every day, Rooms for poor people (so on a night they have somewhere to sleep) and cleaning robots (so if there is a programme you want to watch mouse mews  you can watch it).  I hope I meet some more family members so then I can have someone to keep me company.

life as a priory mouse

Caw! quick run and then hide. Sorry the church eagle is on her daily raid. I’m Mitchel mccheesemuncher the least important mouse in the world. The priory is not to my liking. It’s a dangerous life threatening place. The church has an eagle which has killed off most of my family. My father and mother sacrificed their life for us,there’s three of us left in my family such as my brother mark my sister Michelle and myself Mitchel. Survival is the only thing that matters.

My favorite time here at the priory is christingle because the humainiacs gather together. Oranges with funny glowing sticks in them its amazing isn’t it. After it all finishes if there is an orange spare i’ll be the first to it. Juicy liquid and sweet bear shapes. There is one thing I hate and that’s the organ its so loud, it booms and bounces in my ears.

The priory has been around 900 years’ that is a long time isn’t it. I hope the humainiacs… sorry for the inconvenience, I am now dead. The church eagle ate me!!!mouse

Memories

The piano

I past the piano down to my children as my father pasted it down to me. My name is Simon and my dad taught me everything I know. I was only 3 years old when I learnt how to play. When I am lonely I sit at my piano and play my favourite song, because it brings all my wonderful memories back. I am thinking about stopping because sometimes it reminds me of the hard times.

It wasn’t long ago when my wife, Victoria, and I used to sit at the piano and play our wedding song. I gave Victoria piano lessons, she said it was her first ever time playing a piano (but she was pretty good). As we sat at the piano we played a few notes, then she kissed me on the cheek and went up to bed. Sometimes I still feel her warm kisses on my cold cheek. When I play I can see her reflation (as though her spirit is sat next to me). She wouldn’t sleep if I didn’t play the piano.

Back in time to the war, I was a medic. I still feel guilty because I told my best friend to go out and distract the enemies but sadly he got shot… “IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!!!!!!” I cried to him. I tried to help him but it was too late, he died there and then in my arms. He was one of my closes friends. It was all my fault!!

On my 4th birthday my dad handed me a box, covered in blue tissue paper and a blue ribbon. I was so excited I quickly ripped it open. I know my mum and dad aren’t rich but it was the best present I had ever been given. I said I always wanted a wooden horse, and I got it. That was one of my happiest memories I wasn’t really expecting anything at all.

On my horse I rode around the piano twice then stopped and got up on to the chair and played a few notes. I still feel like I have got my family beside, me but I am alone.

The Piano Past

The Piano past- Gibbons

I’m Rodney Brown, I’ve been gifted with piano playing since I was a very little boy. At this moment in time it helps me cope with traumatic memories. It is the only thing that has been and stayed with me for 70 years. I somehow feel like I can connect with her, like she is the only thing that listens and talks through the keys. I’m devoted to her. This song seems like it describes what the past couple of years has been like.

I met Sheila when we were 12; we’ve had so many memories together. I learnt her piano when we were 25 and she carried on playing until February 14th when she passed away in my arms. I can still remember how she used to kiss me gently before we went to bed, how caring our relationship was, but in one blink of an eye, it’s all gone.

That brings me to 1975 (war) when I lost my brother.  Behind the wall my brother and I stood. I signalled him to go out, worst mistake ever. As a tear ran down my cheek, he fell backwards, into my arms. Since that day, I blame myself for his death.

Now for a happy memory. I were 4, my granddad and I were having a laugh. He gave me a huge blue box, my adrenaline rushed as I began to wonder what was in it. I opened the box to find the most beautiful hobby horse ever. It was the best day of my life.

Just like the piano, that got passed down until this very day in 2013, when I gave it to my grandson. I will always remember this day my grandson and I played harmony on the piano as a grand finale of Sheila’s song. At the end he looked up at me and smiled, then said “I love you Granddad!”

the piano

Even when I was a young boy I played piano and now I am here and she is still here with me. She listens to me as I play here. Her song helps me get through my past. My whole family has been pianists and has been passed down for generations. She has been here for all through when I was a boy all the way to now. The beat of her song brings back memories happy and emotional.

My wife Mary was an amazing pianist we would sit for hours on end just playing all the songs we knew. When I play I feel her with me. On hour wedding after the party we played the piano. She was so good at playing from the first time her fingers touched the keys she was outstanding.

Going even more back when I was a self-medic. I told my friend to go that it was safe to shoot. He was shot the second he stepped away from the wall. I pulled him back he died in my arms!!! It should have been me I deserve to have this burden forever until I die like he did because of me.

I remember my 6th birthday when I got the best present in the world. I wasn’t really expecting to get anything because my family where very poor. My hobby horse would keep me entertained for hours. It came in a blue box with dark blue ribbon and a smart blue bow on top. I would play games with my friends about cowboys and in the end the horses would come and save us.

All my memories disappear I keep playing like I always have. My grandson playing with his toys under the piano in a world of his own. He stops and comes to sit next to me. I give my head a jolt at one of the keys he nodded back, he put a little finger on the key and the song ended. My son is teaching to play piano every time he plays he sounds like Mary. He reminds me of her his eyes especially.

the piano (Tegan)

My name is Steven and I’m going to tell you my story. My piano has been with me since I was a little boy. It holds a lot of memories from over the past 80 years. It is the only thing that gets me through the hard times. I stare at my reflection while I play and every now and then I feel a hand gently touch my shoulder. I spend most of my time at the piano.

Sitting here bringing back the memory of how I met the love of my life (Alison). I bumped into her at the dance hall. She was sat opposite me looking enchanting. I floated towards her, held out my and asked if she would like to dance. From there our relationship took off we’ve had our ups and downs but I was devoted to her and I still am today.

Going back even further, I remember the war. I nod at my friend (Andrew) to give him a signal to attack. He started to shoot frantically, somehow all of his shots missed. Suddenly he fell to the ground with a thud. At that point I realised he was shot. He died in my arms I tried everything to try and save him but nothing seemed to work.

When I was younger I remember receiving a blue box tied with a pretty bow. It was one of the best toys around.me and my mates used play with my hobby horse pretending we were cowboys. It was the best thing ever. I loved my horse and then it got passed down the family all the way to my grandson.  The skill of playing the piano got passed down also.
