The Schools Rock session which took place this weekend at Christ Church Bridlington, with Years 1-6 peforming a variety of songs whilst signing using Makaton. Ably supported by Remarkable Arts, plus 220+ parents and relatives who came along to support their children. 🙂

A poem written by Lilly T in Y5 based on Michael Morpurgo’s ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’ which the class have recently read.
In the story Michael is thrown overboard from his parents yacht (Peggy Sue) during a torrential storm. This poem descibes his thoughts as he is tossed and battered by the cruel sea.
Through her weekly music sessions, Sherilyn has helped her to fit the song to music.
